KATE WILLIAMS
General Manager
Kate was born in Coventry and trained as a musician playing clarinet, saxophone and piano graduating from Bath Spa University College with a degree in Music: Sound & Image.
Before joining Theatr na nÓg in December 2016 she worked at Newbury Corn Exchange in Berkshire for seven years, four years as Theatre Manager and then for three years as Commercial and Sales Manager overseeing all front of house operations and events.
Prior to this she worked with New Perspectives Theatre Company running Northamptonshire’s Rural Touring Scheme programming for 60 community run venues across the county and claims to be able to navigate Northamptonshire by villages as well as find any village hall by instinct alone.
She has also been Theatre Manager and programmer for Bridport Arts Centre in Dorset and Brewery Arts in Cirencester.
In her spare time Kate likes to bake and enjoys making novelty cakes, she also works from home as a reiki practitioner treating humans and the occasional guinea pig.
She lives in a village just north of Neath and is trying to get back to the family’s Welsh routes and learn the language.
